Munich (München in German) is the capital and most populous city of Bavaria, Germany. Situated on the Isar River north of the Alps, the city is known for its blend of historic architecture, vibrant culture, and high-tech industry. It is often described as Germany's most livable city.

In November, Munich becomes a festive winter city as its famous Christmas markets, including the Christkindlmarkt on Marienplatz and the Winter Tollwood, open their doors. It's also a great time to visit Circus Krone, Europe's largest circus, or enjoy quieter days at museums and galleries before the holiday crowds arrive. The weather is cool and can be damp, with temperatures ranging from lows of 1°C (34°F) to highs of 10°C (50°F), and a chance of light snowfall toward the end of the month.
