Florence is the capital of Italy's Tuscany region and is widely considered the birthplace of the Renaissance. The city is famous for its outstanding architecture, art, and monuments, drawing millions of tourists annually. The historic center of Florence is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In June, Florence offers warm, lively days perfect for exploring, highlighted by the June 24th feast of St. John the Baptist, featuring a historic parade, a traditional football match called Calcio Storico Fiorentino, and culminating in a spectacular fireworks display. The month also hosts a variety of outdoor music, art, and high fashion events, including the Florence Dance Festival and the Pitti Immagine shows, before the peak crowds of July.
